It fact, it's creepy in parts.

TheLittleSongbird 10 July Season 1 was mostly a promising start, though with its slow parts and a couple of not-so-good episodes "Machismo" for me being one the show's low-pointsof a show that got better and better until becoming hit and miss from mid-Season 6 onwards. Scratch", "The Lesson" and "North Mammon" one of the show's most intense and frightening.
This said, there are some funny moments too on 'Criminal Minds', with a contender for the funniest being Morgan and Reid's prank war in "Painless". It is also one of the best written and best in general episodes of the entire show, that is of course from personal opinion. As always with 'Criminal Minds' it is atmospherically, stylishly and audaciously made, and also solidly directed, tautly paced and with effective use of music that's haunting without being intrusive or melodramatic.
As aforementioned, "The Fox" is also brilliantly written, the profiling, procedure aspects and delving into the minds of the suspects helped make Karl Arnold here one of the show's most interesting, memorable and quite frightening serial killers along with George Foyet the most prolificBilly Flynn and to a lesser extent Frank Breitkopf. One gets chills with Karl Arnold's dialogue here, some of the most chilling of all the episodes along with the unsub's dialogue displaying his lack of remorse and refusal to take responsibility in "North Mammon" and any dialogue uttered by George Foyet especially in "Nameless, Faceless".
The story takes its time to develop, with a lot of talk and not much action, but still gives us enough absorbing information without bombarding us with too much a danger with a show that has episodes as short as they are.
The crimes, like the unsub, are organised and meticulous, which helps add to their shock value, and the episode is high in intensity and suspense, more so than any other episode in Season 1. Characters are very well done. Much has been said about Karl Arnold, for good reason, but even so early on the BAU team have personalities very well-established though JJ becomes more interesting later on and gel very nicely.
Never been a fan of cold and sometimes annoying Elle or Lola Glaudini, but both are fine here. The acting is very good, with Neal Jones exceptional as Arnold. In conclusion, really fantastic episodes, one of the best-written episodes of 'Criminal Minds' but also one of Season 1's best and one of the show's best in general. Favorite Criminal Minds Episodes. We're watching " Tiger King " on Netflix for sure. Our recommendations also include " Night on Earth ", " Ozark ," and more.
See our picks. Title: Soul Mates 14 Jan To his Sarasota Florida neighbors, William Harris is a model family man and upstanding citizen. However, he is taken into custody on suspicions of being the murderer of young women, accusations which followed him from Atlanta, where his family was forced to moved from because of the previous accusations. The victims are held for two days before they are strangled to death.
The victims are also alternately a white woman then a black woman. The latest possible victim is Missy Dewalt, who has been missing for a few hours. However, her dead body is found within the day, the time of death being when Harris was in custody. Based on a secret blog found deleted from Harris' computer and Missy's death, the BAU are certain that Harris is the murderer but has an accomplice. Harris' daughter, Andrea, grows suspicious of his Written by Huggo.
Season 4 is a strong contender for the best season of 'Criminal Minds'. One where the lesser episodes, such as "Demonology" and "Catching Out", are still better than the worst episodes of particularly Seasons 9 and 11, and where there are so many classic episodes that picking a favourite is like trying to say what your favourite ice cream flavour is.
Is "Soul Mates" one of the season's classics? However, while a lesser episode of the season perhaps which is an indicator as to how good Season 4 is it is a very decent episode. Much more could have been done with the second unsub as well. A great job was done with Harris, so it was disappointing that the second unsub was nowhere near as intriguing or exuded anywhere near as strong a personality. The lack of profiling, a huge part of the show's charm and one of the main reasons why it works so well when executed well, was a shame, and the episode occasionally feels jumpy.
However, "Soul Mates" looks great, as ever made with style, class and gritty atmosphere. The music is suitably haunting and moody with some creative use of lyricsand the direction and most of the pacing are taut. The script is thought-provoking, and while the humour is kept at minimum here there are a few very funny moments. Two of the best of them being directed towards Reid, one from Garcia regarding sweet cheeks and the funniest was Rossi replying to a question regarding Reid that he was left on the FBI steps in a basket.
While the storytelling is not perfect, it is compelling enough, with the opening being an interesting format breaker, the interrogation scenes tense and creepy with Harris becoming increasingly arrogant and creepy and Rossi and Morgan being pushed to the limit and the scene between Harris and Sharon and the climax packing a real emotional wallop.
In conclusion, a little predictable and plain at times but still interesting and worth watching. Sign In.
