Log in or Sign up. May 31, 1. Posted this on a couple other forums already, thought I would share it over here also. Mods: Up to you guys, but if we could leave this in the handgun section for a couple days so some people could see this, it would be awesome.
Feel free to move it at any time to gunsmithing. With the current bit of CZ love going on, and very little amount of information on them compared to other brands, I thought it would be helpful to put together a little How-To on taking apart the CZ sp01 Tactical.
This information would carry over to the P01, and in some parts over to any of the CZ 75 Series. CZ's are great pistol, are very well priced, and great shooters. However, they do come from the factory a bit rough around the edges on the internals compared to a lot of other guns on the market. This does not effect there reliablity, or overall function.
Just to put it out there, a lot of what I did is following some of the guides on the CZ forms, which I will link at the end of the post. I will admit, they have some better pictures, and may work better for you. If you cant do this, put down the firearm, and call a gunsmith. Remove the grip panels, and mainspring sorry no pictures. To Do this, press the lanyard against a hard surface, and tap out the pins on the grip. Remove the Mag brake, and the spring should come out easily. Remove right side decocking lever.
Yes, believe it or not, I had a brain dead moment the first time doing this and couldnt get it off. Simply use a small punch to push up the center section and wiggle the lever off Next, remove the decoker lever, you will need to slide a spring out of the channel to get it to come out. If it isnt coming out, you havent moved the spring. After removing the decocker, Your going to knock out the sear cage pin. If the first time, this pin is going to be a PITA to get out, at least on mine the pin was stalked in.
I used a starter punch provided by CGW to do this, and used a roll of packaging tape to brace the gun. Its going to take a couple good smacks to get it started. At this point, many people use a slave pin to keep the sear cage assembly together. I dont This will be the fun part later to come. Next, remove the trigger and trigger bar by popping out the trigger pin. This is another pin that you will basically have to maul to get out, I suggest replacing it with a CGW trigger pin.

CZ 75 B High Polished Stainless — Discontinued 2019
CZ Compact Threaded Barrel 0. D Compact. Shadow line Compact. Contact Rob for details on all Exports. Dropped right into a recent-manufacture P, shoots very accurately, better than stock barrel. Will need another mounting option if using barrel with suppressor - expect the threading is intended for compensators and other muzzle devices.
Due to size 0. I only had to remove a little of the nub at the top of the chamber, use your stock barrel as a reference and take your time. The threaded barrel fit snug unlike the original barrel I had. Angus We do suggest all barrels are fitted.
To install the threaded barrel in my PCR, I had to remove the large nub at the top of the chamber so it matched the standard barrel that came with the pistol. After putting everything back together, it wouldn't quite go into battery. I then had to trim a little off the front and rear edges of the locking lug on top of the barrel.
Once I did that, everything fit snugly and I took it to the range to test with and without a suppressor.
It functioned perfectly in both configurations and was just as accurate as the standard barrel. I'm very happy with my purchase. Only registered users can write reviews. Please, log in or register. CZ Barrel 9mm 4. Quick Overview. Due to government restrictions this item is for sale in the US only.Designed inthe CZ 75 is the flagship model of the CZ handgun line with over one million produced.
An entire family of pistols is available based on the basic CZ 75 design: compacts, decockers, single action only, ambidextrous, alloy frames as well as competition pistols. CZ 75 B is used by more governments, militaries, police and security agencies than any other pistol in the world. The CZ 75 is quite possibly the perfect pistol.
I have an older CZ I see no reason to change, add or replace it. Other than paper targets the only thing that I have shot with it was a pig. My 75 works all times and every time. John Gaddis — March 14, :. The original 75 was my first. Springfield imported it as the P9. When the 75b came out I bought the 2 tone 75b with the frame mounted Reddot mount and the OK reddot.
I still have them and at least one of every model. There are only two brands of pistols I will carry. Price gouging is the only issue I have run into.
Paul — February 14, :. Makes me feel good about my purchase. It does everything I want and it does it very well. I did replace the plastic grips with a rubber grip and the comfort is amazing. The quality of this gun is great. Also, not to sound too cheesy, but it looks cool. Stands out in a crowd. All guns look the same these days. Soc Sabile — November 26, :. All of those I just display in my home office except for my CZ.
Oleg Z — November 2, :. Got my very 1st handgun and decided to go with CZ 75b Very good pistol, very accurate. I like it a lot. Robert Pezzella — October 17, :.
I had to CZ 75B for years now and it was a little over four hundred bucks. I got to tell you the first time I shot it I could not believe the accuracy of this pistol.
It was a nice tight shot group. A great pistol for the money.Discontinued With the exception of an ambidextrous manual safety and rubber grips, the stainless version is functionally identical to the CZ 75 B. The only difference is an improvement in corrosion resistance, though many will argue that there is an improvement in appearance as well.
CZ 75 B is used by more governments, militaries, police and security agencies than any other pistol in the world.

Wild bill — January 12, :. I waited four decades before I purchased a 9 mm pistol. I took a look at a nib cz85db 9 mm and purchased it on the spot the minute I held it.
I enjoy the best 9 mm pistols ever made. Jh — July 2, :. Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. Waited a month in case my local gun store had found a 97 B. Since it was still there a month later I had to get it.
Not regretting the purchase. Then he spoke of how well they shoot and other salesman jargon to get the sell I thought. No, he was making a testimony! Everything he said about it was true. As with my Scorpion, my 75 B high polish stainless is way more accurate than me! Now, where is that 97 B!!! Theron J. Hunt — August 30, :. Denny R — April 29, :. Purchased my polished stainless CZB in The CZ is one of the more famous European pistols. The reason is simple — a lot of people bought CZs, fired them a bunch, never cleaned them, and finally got rid of them.
Because CZs are not fun to clean. Eject the magazine out of the magazine well and then slide the upper receiver to the rear, ensuring there are no rounds left in the chamber.
Barrels & Complete Upper
Pull the upper receiver back — ever so slightly. Notice how the recoil pin is only slightly protruding? It has to be kept in precisely the correct position in order to remove the slide release pin. One of the easiest ways to free the pin is with the soft polymer side of a screwdriver. With the upper receiver held in the slightly depressed position, tap the pin lightly.
The key to disassembling a CZ Compact is technique. Now that the slide release pin is out, we can take a look at why that slide release pin is such a bugger.
And this next picture, below, shows what the upper receiver needs to look like in order to align the slide release pin on the CZD. Alright, the hardest part of CZ basic field stripping and maintenance is over. Once that pin is out — the rest is cake.
Now that the slide release pin is out, put your hand on the upper receiver. The upper receiver should slide off its rails — which end at the tip of the lower receiver. You can put down the lower receiver on your bench.
With the upper receiver in hand, you should see the recoil pin and spring and the barrel. That said, the spring is usually very tight so carefully depress the recoil spring with raunchy jokes about clowns.
Or you can use your fingers, too. Now that the recoil spring and pin are out of the upper receiver of the CZD, go ahead and slide out the barrel.
Once the barrel is out, your CZ Compact is disassembled to the operator level.
There are plenty of after-market manufacturers and CZ-USA which sell replacement parts if you do find something wrong with the recoil pin or spring, trigger housing group, or hammer assemblies. And remember — when you go to reassemble it, the slide release pin is going to be the biggest pain. Once the pin is almost all the way through, line up the metal tab to the secondary hole and you should be able to push it in.
